I [Bill Gates] start with architecture, Mark Zuckerberg starts with products, and Steve Jobs started with aesthetics. It really amazes me (1) not only how true this is, but (2) how each individual founders strengths and believes are very much reflected and engrained in each companys culture and end products. Microsoft is a bunch of nerdy coders who dont really care about UI/UX. Facebook is a bunch of product driven people constantly changing, launching, and killing products left and right (often copying other companys product ideas, see https://quora/What-other-business-or-product-ideas-did-Mark-Zuckerberg-and-Facebook-steal). And Apple constantly has design and aesthetics as their number one differentiator. Crazy how influential one person can be in a company. Bill Gates is the man. My goal is to work with him one day, to make the world a better place.
