I COMPLETELY DISAGREE. ... India needs a Sachin Tendulkar in football who can revo- lutionise the state of the sport. A someone whose brilliance will rub off on the fates of millions around him... It is precisely this wrong notion that a sport has to lead to success and wealth which has left the majority of Indians across all age groups not fit, healthy in mind and body. Football is a brilliant game. To promote it we need parents, teachers and sports bodies come up with healthy schemes of competition at all levels and also an attitude towards as an active way of life for those who are not competetive. You must not want a few heroes to inspire. You need a vision, instead, to transform your society, with healthy views on life and active lifestyle. Heroes must be a product of the means. Not the means to just another copy paste of the same rotten success is everything rhetoric.
