I Congratulate Ogbeni Rauf Adesoji Aregbesola for his victory and re-election as the gov-elect of Osun State. Yes, the people of Osun has spoken loud and clear that a politician need to be in touch with the people always and not only during elections. I congratulate President Goodluck for allowing democratic franchise and rights of the people to prevail. I therefore call on political class to see politics as being about the people, where their needs and welfare should be at the centre of governance and policy framework. I congratulate Professor Jega and INEC for a free, fair and conduct election; as I also join to congratulate our security apparatus, vigilantes for their own contribution despite excessive use of authority and power in a democratic election. All hail you all for your patriotism and duties to minimize risk, violence and crisis. Those who are opportune to lead should remember the led, and those who are call to follow or support should also know that, they too have responsibility to behave civil and support leaders that will help better the society to bring change we desire. In politics if you win, just remember the people that voted you there, the masses you promised to take care and look after their immediate societal needs/welfare; and also if you lose, thats not the end at all, just congratulate the winner first and go back to the drawing board to re-strategise for next time to take another shot; because all you need is to begin to stay in touch closer to the people more than before to win their hearts. To APC, PDP and other political parties leaders and supporters; its high time to demand for candidates who are in touch with the masses and grassroots to become flagbearers; instead of imposing candidates who cant galvanize the voters or electorates without rigging and creating violence. Its time for those who support leaders and political parties irrespective of their political atrocities and undemocratic posture begin to think more of the interest and future of the nation; than parochial interest. Nigeria is bigger than any individual, political party or group; and our primary quest should be for a better nation, to produce good leaders and leadership that will propel the greatness of this great nation of ours. Lets live and play politics in love and peace; and without bitterness and anti-social behaviour. Almighty God has done his work to give us this endowed and blessed country, it behoves us all collectively to make Nigeria great amongst comity of nations. God bless the people of Osun, bless Nigeria and bless us all. Together, One Nigeria and Out Of Many, One People. There is no place like home. Nigeria I hail thee. Thank You All.
