I DISAGREE WITH THIS STATEMENT AND I DISAGREE WITH THE SENTIMENT. I dont understand whence all of this polarization comes, but it sounds to me like Animal Farm, but with the sheep bleating Denim GOod, Suits bad or Suits good, denim bad and I am also hearing and reading a lot of shyte like Poor people are good; blue-collar workers are good, but rich people bad, business people bad etc. I hope that all who read my page will read this whole rant and comment, whether you agree with me or not. The Founding Fathers, who really started and set up and established this country, mostly wore suits, albeit with tights, ruffles, wigs, and sometimes high-heeled shoes. A lot of them were wealthy or at least quite comfortable. Some were gentleman farmers and might have worn rougher clothing at times, but they also had slaves to do a lot of their work. Many wealthy people in this countrys history built up this country, some building up their own wealth with their own ingenuity and working their way up from poverty , some inheriting the wealth but working to continue and grow their business. Denim didnt come into the picture until the mid 1800s (Thank you Levi and Strauss!) but yes, many who wore denim worked hard to build up this country, as well. Of course, there are a lot who wore denim who just made and drank moonshine, or tripped out with Timothy Leary, and many who wore suits who screwed a lot of people out of their money and even lives. I personally like to see a fit man in jeans, a nice suit (including vest or suspenders), and/or a kilt (not all at the same time. )) )[FInd me a good intelligent straight modern Orthodox (non-Kohain) guy in my age range who can wear those items well (again, not at the same time) and send him my way. ;-)] Good people from every walk of life, clothing style, religion, and economic level have built up this country, and rotten people from every walk of life, clothing style, religion, and economic level have torn it down. The question is not what will you wear, but which you will choose to be and do?
