I Dare You To Live! I know you didnt realize, Through all the pain and guilt, I didnt have the answers, With the walls that had been built. Couldnt help but wonder, When your eyes began to fade, All the questions in your heart, And the memories you made. I know you felt alone at times, Not knowing what to do, Oh my dear sweet Marcus, My God how I love you. You are in the great unknown, Throughout the spanse of time, I pray that you know Jesus, And youre doing fine. Wish you could have seen me, By your bed I knelt, The agony you went through, And the loneliness you felt. I know you didnt see it, That many people cared, The endless hours upon our knees, You were lifted up in prayer. My son, my joy, my friend, Your life was not in vain, You were sent to bring me joy, And take away my pain. God gave you a gift, That precious little smile, As you played school football, And went the extra mile. Just 16 and holding, My baby had big dreams, I wish others could have known you, Before you felt the screams. Daddy wont you love me, And take me for a ride, This is all I thought about, The day of suicide. Your bedroom now stands empty, I picked up all your clothes, Threw away the moldy cake, Like I didnt know. Momma wont stop crying, Its quiet throughout the town, My precious son what have you done! Now youre not around. Please whoever reads this, Know youre not alone, The pain you feel is all too real, See the seeds that you have sown. Theres so much to live for, And so much to gain, Please look unto Jesus, Who died to take your pain. Although you have grown weary, And dont know what to do, God He gave you life, The rest is up to you. Many people love you, And see the hurt inside, Look at all the sadness caused, Before your suicide. Scott.
