I HAD TO REPOST THIS RESPONSE FROM A FRIEND OF MINE THAT HE WROTE FROM SOMEONE POSTING ON HIS WALL...SELAH. Its not easy to believe, thats the message Im wanting to convey. My need to realize that I need help is where I find my faith. Every day I carry struggles and burdens that often times seem to be too much to bear. If I try to deal with them on my own Im going to fail. Christ gives us a free will to choose what happens in our lives, so in that sense you are correct. I have the ability to make things happen, but in that ability I also have the consequence of my actions if I dont first seek Gods will for them. I didnt create myself, so I cant put faith in myself to always do it right. You said that this perfect being cant make perfect things. Is it just possible that we are the reason for our own imperfections? Absolutely! If a father makes a gift for his child, something that was created carefully with thought and love, and then gives that gift to his child, what happens if the child breaks it? The child could attempt to fix it on their own, not really knowing how it was made and eventually breaking it further, or even more, they could hide it and try to ignore that it was broken in the first place. If that child takes what is broken back to their father and asks for help in fixing it, the father will know exactly how to restore it back to its original form. The same applies to us. Man was created as a perfect being, but man broke himself through sin. We are the reason we are imperfect, and taking what is broken in our lives back to our Father is the only way we can truly be fixed. Wouldnt you rather know that there is a perfect plan in place for our lives, one that goes far beyond meeting any expectation that we could possibly have? A plan that sets us in a place that satisfies our every want and desire? I dont give up my dreams and plans for my life just because I trust in God to fulfill them; I give those dreams and plans for my life to God because I know he will fulfill them in ways I could never do on my own. Sure, doing it on my own could get me part of the way there, but letting Him do it through me gets me all the way there and much, much more!
