I HATE addiction! Its destroying lives of so many people! This is a short video of the Hope over heroin march in Hamilton from this past summer. The devil is alive and out to destroy and kill this generation. By generation, Im not referring to a specific age group...Im referring to those living in this day and these times. Addiction knows no bounds. It affects the rich, the poor, the young, the old, the under educated, the highly educated etc etc... Someones child, mom, dad, grandchild, grandparent, sibling, friend etc. The addict IS NOT the addiction! They are a beautiful being created in Gods image. They love deeply. They hurt just as deeply. Their pain becomes unbearable and they turn to something they think will numb the pain and help the loneliness. Behind every addiction there is pain! God forgive us for not praying for them, loving them, reaching out to them, encouraging them....standing in the gap for them when they arent able to stand alone! Ill be attending a funeral tomorrow of a family member who died from a heroin overdose. He lived 53 years and from what I know he never hurt anyone except himself ...and those who loved him, who watched him struggle. Please pray for those struggling with addiction!
