I HAVE A DREAMI have a dream that one day the youths of this country shall rise to demand accountability for what has been happening.I have a dream that the so called LEADERS OF TOMORROW will soon wait no more thereby aborting TOMORROW in order to become LEADERS OF TODAY. I have a dream that the youths will team up very soon and declare their readiness to make a difference; to defend the truth and remain with it: which is, the good future of our land lies in their actions.I have a dream that very soon my peers will reject being used as INSTRUMENTS OF DESTRUCTION but shall stand up as PILLARS OF DEVELOPMENT. I have a dream that the days when youths were judge based on their CHARACTERS AND INTELLIGENCE will soon come. When meritocracy will no more be sacrificed for mediocrity. I have a dream that the words of the Central Bank Governor, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi will soon come: “when youths shall team up and present one of their own for leadership in Nigeria”(and let me add, in Benue, in Adoka/Ugboju, etc, as the case may be). Today’s YOUTHS have what it takes to bring the desired change in our land. It is not good enough to have people with great qualities unless we make use of them. This is the time to make use of our ‘best brides’, the most distinguished youths in our land.Prof. Wole Soyinka once said, and I quote: “when we were coming up as young people, we so much believed in the PROGRESSIVES, never did we know that the progressives were not in support of our progress. If we had known, we would have started our own thing”. This is the time to start our own thing. This is the time to team up and select a young man to lead us. If we fail this time, we will surely regret in future. No one will care for the youths except themselves. We have the numerical strength to be king makers if we are one. We must therefore denounce the carrots being dangled at us by the elites and be focused to enthrone one of us. This is my dream, this is my vision. Join me let’s actualize it come 2015. You are doing this not because it is the best thing to do, neither are you doing it because it is the right thing to do but you must do this because you have no choice. If you need a change, you have no other option. If you want to have a say, you have no choice other than to stand up and support this course.Today I stand out to declare, “That the greatest evil done in Nigeria is for the youths to remain silent”.
