I Have Proved My Critics Wrong, Says Ahmed Musa CSKA Moscow player, Ahmed Musa, who scored Nigeria’s two goals in the 3-2 defeat to Argentina at the ongoing FIFA World Cup in Brazil said last night that he has proved his critics wrong with his excellent form against the South Americans in Porto Alegre. Musa who made Nigeria to qualify for the knockout stage for the first time since 1998, thanks to Irans 3-1 defeat by Bosnia, had pulled Eagles level within seconds of Lionel Messis opener when he cut in from the left and curled a delightful effort into the far corner. He was at it again just a few minutes into the second half when he glided onto a clever through pass and coolly steered into the corner for the second goal for Nigeria to level with the Argentines a second time. But Musa who has been at the receiving end of the Nigerian media covering the tournament, said at the post match conference that he was grateful to God helping to put his team in the second round. “I have proved here today that I am not a bad player. This is the third time that I will be playing against Argentina and I am happy scoring two important goals for Nigeria,” gushed a very elated Musa. He said he was also looking forward to Nigeria’s knock out phase clash with France.
