I KNOW THIS IS A LOT OF INFO, BUT PLEASE READ: Most up to date information as of Friday 1/2/15 at 10:30pm: Sweetie has been missing for 2 days and 8 hours. Through a terrible snow storm and numbing temperatures. This is an EMERGENCY. She was wearing a red sweater and had a collar with an ID tag and a leather leash attached to her collar. There is a possibility that she may have slipped her collar if her leash got caught up on something. But we dont know. The last tracks we found the night of the accident, she was still dragging the leash. Yesterday, someone found a frozen leash on Crump Rd, but it was Nylon and not Sweeties leather leash. There have been many wonderful people coming out to help search for her. Thank you so much! We have had no sightings since the day of the accident, but feel that she is still may be in that area because of the weather (snow storm) the first 36 hours of her being lost. There were very convincing signs on the night of the accident that she was checking out barns and outbuildings, based on her tracks. (SEE PROFILE PIC FOR MAP) At this point, we are hoping that all the residence in the area will check any of their barns or outbuilding, because she may be hurt and not moving around. She comes from a home with horses, dogs, ducks and chickens and may be drawn to farms in the area that have smells she recognizes. She is shy and may not come up to you, please call 911 to alert Animal Control and then the owners number - 231-649-5573. She must be hungry and cold. If you live in the area and you are on a farm or have outbuildings, PLEASE check them and call her name, (she likes squeaky toys) look for tracks, etc. She may be hunkered down trying to stay warm. ALL WE NEED IS A SIGHTING.... WE ARE IN THE AREA CURRENTLY AND WILL COME THERE IMMEDIATELY.
