I, Kumar Gaurav, student of Final Year Electronics and Communication Engineering, am contesting for the post of Research and Innovation Secretary. This manifesto is brought to you after a lot discussions and team effort of people. Although, we are attempting to create a hill out of mole but visions with actions can change the world. MANIFESTO 1.Final Year Project Rule Revision : Final year project benefits are limited to only final year students. To inculcate in junior students a habit of research by making it compulsory for final year groups to have students of third year and second year (varying from 3 to 5 in each group). 2.Industrial Collaboration : Engineering degree is obsolete if a B.tech engineer knows nothing about industrial exposure. Initiation will be made for bridging the gap between Academy-Industry for this purpose and explore further horizons that can be achieved. 3.Teaching Assistants(T.A.) Selection Improvements : It has been observed that the T.A’s that we are having are not satisfying the zeal(and maybe even the need) of our college students. Especially, ECE and Computer students who have to cover few of their subjects for the whole semester only under the guidance of T.A’s without any permanent faculty. So, T.A. selection process should be improved so that at least the standards of academics are not compromised. 4.It has been observed that students who need financial assistance used to take coaching classes outside the college. So, it will be suggested to the faculties to enroll final year students as the teaching assistants for the 1st,2nd and 3rd year classes only if any student is willing to work and faculties consider him capable of doing so. 5.Inter disciplinary Research Projects : Inter Disciplinary Research projects should be encouraged in our college. Final year projects or individual projects that students are undertaking should be given independence to incorporate with them the students or projects from other depths. 6.Central Research Panel : There will be a research committee which can be approached by any aspirant or group for proper certification and funding. Panel will look into feasibility and relevance of the projects and take decisions accordingly. 7.Elective Allotment Rule Revision : Elective subjects are the tool for primary research initiation in the area of interest. Allotment of these subjects on the basis of pointers is just an assault on the very individual student’s right to pursue education in his/her area of interest. So it will be tried to avoid seat limitations for any of the electives. Also, there will be orientations for each elective in the month before end semester. Students will have the right to choose elective whichever they want. Seats should not be a constraint. Any suggestion are most welcome. Mob no. : 9426703618 Email_id : gsaurav2013@gmail
