I MUST share this.....as I was standing in a group talking and waiting for the grave to be covered.....I felt a tug at my skirt...looking down I saw a tiny puppy...I shewed it away and continued to talk....shortly I felt that tug again....same puppy....third time I shewed it away...one of the ladies I was speaking with took the puppy back to the house next to us and gave it back to the man sitting on a bench...he said it wasnt his but that it just kept hanging around....she left the puppy with him...so we continued our conversation....and then....another tug at my skirt....nobody else was bothered..just me...at this third time I took the puppy up and looked in its face.....so sweet....and I had this strange sense that it was meant for me to take this puppy home....just a few weeks ago I had to have my sweet dog Maggie put down and I was sad....All the years Orben & I have been married....I always had a puppy in the house as my companion....somehow I felt this was Orbens gift to me so I would not be alone without a companion .......think what you may but I believe he was sending that pup to me so....she is now with me!! Later as we were trying to decide a name....nothing seemed right....suddenly something came to mind....the last few days of Orbens life...he kept calling all the nurses Trudy...he once knew a lady named Trudy at a truckstop many years ago when he was much younger.....she fed squirrels cantaloupe seeds and he was impressed by that.....Then the last day he could talk to me as he was in a delirious state...he called me Trudy....so thus....the new puppy is named Trudy. Orben also told me that if there was any possible way to communicate to me that he was near...hed find it and I do believe he did!!! This may seem silly to some....BUT LOVE is a POWERFUL thing!!!
