I, Me and Mine “Job 1:13 And there was a day when his sons and his daughters were eating and drinking wine in their eldest brothers house: Job 1:14 And there came a messenger unto Job, and said, The oxen were plowing, and the asses feeding beside them: Job 1:15 And the Sabeans fell upon them, and took them away; yea, they have slain the servants with the edge of the sword; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee. Job 1:16 While he was yet speaking, there came also another, and said, The fire of God is fallen from heaven, and hath burned up the sheep, and the servants, and consumed them; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee. Job 1:17 While he was yet speaking, there came also another, and said, The Chaldeans made out three bands, and fell upon the camels, and have carried them away, yea, and slain the servants with the edge of the sword; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee. Job 1:18 While he was yet speaking, there came also another, and said, Thy sons and thy daughters were eating and drinking wine in their eldest brothers house: Job 1:19 And, behold, there came a great wind from the wilderness, and smote the four corners of the house, and it fell upon the young men, and they are dead; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee. Job 1:20 Then Job arose, and rent his mantle, and shaved his head, and fell down upon the ground, and worshipped, Job 1:21 And said, Naked came I out of my mothers womb, and naked shall I return thither: the LORD gave, and the LORD hath taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD.” Job worshipped God. Job blessed the name of the Lord. And here you be making petitions, waking noises, perjuring instances for even so very little. Fisting it out with God, thinking all along its between a father and a child, and not seeing the true scale happening, it is between rebellion and truth. Friends, the first in order for you to grasp even the basics in God is to disown yourself. You didn’t make yourself, didn’t even create a single hair on your body. How then do you make a claim saying I, Me or Mine ? Go out there, catch a hold of someone and say ‘ you are mine’ or grab a stash of cash and say ‘ it belongs to me’, and watch what treatment you will be met with. You belonging to yourself is as equally insane, for you did not make one single cell in you to call you your own. To truly distant yourself from yourself, as a living offering to God, which is but your duty, is making first steps towards the Son’s fulfillment in you. How can any claim on anything he did not create or labour for ? You be such, even so when you be in womb, it is God who fashioned you. And all your labour has been for your own vanities, scheming and befitting it with Godly allusions, almost alike any wrong unto you be a wrong unto God. A little bit of I can conjure up a whole lot of venom enough to destroy yourself and others. Everything, including you yourself is made and owned by God. It is living, breathing and working for God. Just as Job said, the Lord gives and the Lord takes away, every single instance in your life has been and will be the same. You never had any to begin to complain with, no, not even yourself. It is the most comforting lie satan placed in you. It is the lie of rebellion. And it is the lie of ‘I, Me and Mine’. In such simple word such as I, lies the whole gamut of your rebellious lives. Jesus said, of the Father’s will came I, to do the Father’s will, and not my own. It was never I or me or mine, it was always Father’s, His will, and His own. It is God, God, God. And if any left, it is still God. God has blessed us with much abundance. In every breath, be like unto Job, and worship and bless the Lord in all things. For He is the giver and we be nothing before His almighty presence. No, not even as much as I or me. For it is His. Start with Him, and you will never fail. Build on Him, and you will never be let down. Count on Him, to count your score. Let Him be all in you, and you no longer be found in you.
