I SEE A BRIGHT FUTURE FOR GRAND COUNTY. NO ONE WILL WORK HARDER TO SECURE THAT FUTURE. Age 5-8: I learned to clean a house, do schoolwork, weed a garden, pick cotton, feed baby calves, cook a simple meal, and tend my younger siblings. Age 8-12: more of the same (minus the cotton-picking); began driving a tractor and the farm truck; moved sprinkler pipes before school every day; hoed sugar beets; bucked bales; leadership responsibilities at school and church. Age 12-16: more of the same; began teaching childrens classes and playing piano at church; more leadership responsibilities. Age 16-18: more of the same (minus the sugar beets); fulfillment of childhood dream ~ awarded the BYU Presidential Scholarship and offered two other full-ride scholarships from universities in Arizona; employed at local grocery store and on the farm as a seasonal tractor driver; more teaching and leadership responsibilities. Age 18-21: receptionist/insurance for chiropractic office; part-time housekeeper; graduated with honors after two years college (like Bill Gates and Steve Jobs). Age 21: Life began! I got married! Since then, Ive been a formal preschool teacher; an elementary school reading tutor; an elementary school teachers aide; co-owner and employee (27 years) of our family business; 14 years income tax experience: owner of window painting business; freelance decorator; seamstress for a fabric store; florist; designer of porcelain dolls for retail display; wedding decorator; president and teacher of youth and womens organizations. Life skills - I am a great negotiator; counselor; teacher; caregiver; nutritionist; cook (?); seamstress; painter; designer; financial consultant/budgeter; time manager; fitness coordinator; legal consultant; behavioral therapist; confidant; set/stage designer; float maker; cheerleader; personal manager; fashion consultant; resource developer; project manager; librarian; and spiritual leader. I realize Grand County cannot afford me but I am happy to serve. Kim Call
