I STAND PARTYLESS FRANKLIN BETT DECLARES. Former Roads Minister Franklin Bett has now declared himself ‘partyless’ after declining a request by the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM), to oversee the forthcomingparty elections. Speaking to journalists in Kericho County Thursday, Mr Bett said that though he had been approached by the ODM top brass and requested to chair the party’s National Elections Board, he had opted not to do so since he feared that grumbling would later arise from election losers. He has also announced that he has no intention of seeking any position within the party ranks in the elections that will be held at the end of February 2014 by 3000 party delegates from across the country. The former Bureti MP was the chair of the party’s elections body during the nominations stage ahead of the March 4, 2013 general elections. Via #DN
