I THOUGHT I SAW MY THOUGHTS May I dream a million dreams in one second? How long does a dream have to last? To be a dream? You flash across the earth strobing teleporting transitioning instantly spot to spot to spot to spot where ever my eyes shift there you are and I look at everything I stare at clouds grass treetops mailboxes car tires old ladies young babies store fronts gutters fruit the ocean the bathtubs the sink the elevator apartment balcony the porches of family homes at the car ports in front of efficiencies on the wings of eagles on new words never spoken about the oldest cliches I see you in good poetry I see you in bad poetry I see you in receipts from the supermarket I see you in ceilings I see you in sequins not wearing sequins but in the sequins themselves I see you in sequences, in frequencies frequently it freaks me out but I never cease shifting my eyes to everywhere you are.
