I Will Boast In My Inability, So His Capability Is All That Gets - TopicsExpress

I Will Boast In My Inability, So His Capability Is All That Gets the Glory! As human beings, we are prone to boast in our strengths, our successes, and our good deeds. We post pictures of glamorous selfies, our childrens honor roll achievements, and even our 2 hour boot camp work out at the local gym. Lets admit it...were all prone to share our accomplishments. Even the Apostle Paul had the temptation to boast that he had been translated to heaven and had seen things no man could speak of. But, Paul had a messenger from Satan that was sent to buffet him because of his tendency to exalt himself on behalf of the revelations. He begged God to remove this from him and this was Gods response: My grace is all you need. For My power works best in your weakness. (2 Cor. 12:9) Wow! Did you see it? When we attempt to rely upon our own ability, we nullify the power of God being able to work fully. We have heard it preached, You do your best, then God takes care of the rest. Thats a complete opposite of what the Lord Jesus said to Paul in this verse. He, straight up, told Paul that his ability was not needed...thank you very much...but it was Pauls weakness which was needed to display the power of Gods strength! What was Pauls response? Did he become agitated at God and offended that God didnt even recognize how hard he had tried? No. Paul said this, So now I am glad to boast and even brag, about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me. (2 Cor. 12:9) I love it! The minute I realize its not about me, and my effort, but ALL about God and His power working on my behalf (100%) of the time, I can enjoy the grace and inevitable victory! I can rest, while He goes to work! I can point to Him and say, Thank You! Thank You! Thank You! My friend, dont be ashamed of your failures or your mistakes. Allow the Lord to show His beauty. He is the One we adore, the One we magnify, and the One Who loves us beyond comprehension! He is all we will ever need!
