I Will Come Again ~ Steve Hill And if I go and prepare a place - TopicsExpress

I Will Come Again ~ Steve Hill And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. John 14:3 The promises of God are the promises of a perfect gentleman. When God says He’s going to do something, He will do it. He said He would send us a Savior, and He did. He promised His Holy Spirit to fill and comfort us, and the promise came to pass. Now we anticipate, like little children at Christmas, the fulfillment of another great promise of God. Jesus said, “I will come again.” The great American evangelist D. L. Moody, preached often of this great and glorious day. There are three great facts foretold in the Word of God. First, that Christ would come; which has been fulfilled. Second, that the Holy Ghost would come; which was fulfilled at Pentecost, and the Church is able to testify to it by its experience of His saving grace. Third, the return of our Lord again from heaven: for this we are told to watch and wait “till He come.” Look at the account of the last hours of Christ with His disciples. What does Christ say to them? He says, “I will come again and receive you unto myself.” If my wife were in a foreign country, and I had a beautiful mansion all ready for her, she would much rather I come for her than have me send someone else to bring her. So the Church is the Lamb’s wife; He has prepared a mansion for His bride, and He promises that He will come Himself and take us to the place He has been preparing all this while.
