I accept your challenge Steve Girkins, Julie Weiss and Jennifer Howard. This (late) ALS ice bucket challenge is in honor of my amazing dad who lost his battle with ALS at age 48, also a dear friend Tim Paust who recently lost his battle at age 51 and Eric VonSchaumburg who is fighting ALS like a champion at age 31. My dad had just been diagnosed with bulbar palsy ALS before my wedding in March 1988. He couldnt talk but dancing to Daddys little girl was a very special dance for us since we knew the future was uncertain. He died the following February 1989 just after my sister Julies wedding, at a time when most people had never heard of those 3 terrible letters. Heres to the fight for all touched by ALS and thanks to all of you for donating and taking the challenge! I challenge Jeff Wagoner, Teresa Garzelloni, my fellow Mane in Heaven volunteers and all of the Mane in Heaven Facebook friends!! I am donating $100...what will you donate?! I will add the link for the Race for ALS bike ride, Genes Dream Team that my sister Jennifer Elmore Howard and my mom Joyce will be riding in (Tampa).
