I actually have a love/hate relationship with the month of December. Growing up December was filled with so much excitement and joy. It was not only my favorite time of year, but also my moms favorite time. It seemed like she cooked and baked non-stop and decorated each room in our house for Christmas. It really was wonderful. December was also my moms birthday month... so it really was non-stop celebrating for our family. After she passed, there was no doubt we would continue with the traditions and celebrate the month, we knew she would want us to.... That became much harder a couple of years later when my dad passed in the month of December. So when this month rolls around, my parents are heavy on my mind and heart. I know that some of you are feel the same for your missing loved ones too. My feeling is that our loved ones are enjoying the celebrations with us, and we need to continue with our traditions .... They would have wanted us to do that. xox
