I actually know people that think because Trayvon didn’t have a gun he was the victim. Let me throw this out: In 2011 918 people were beaten or strangled to death by unarmed assailants. Do you think the victim’s families wish their loved ones had a gun and could have defended themselves? Just because a bad guy doesn’t have a gun doesn’t mean he or she isn’t capable of inflicting death. The jury in Florida found Trayvon Martin’s killer not guilty. The U.S. Department of Justice found no civil rights violations. The U.N. even tried to weigh in on the case, but who cares, because they’re the U.N. Now, we have Congressional hearings. There are so many unjust killings in this country that deserve investigation, but this ain’t one of them. Let it go race-baiters. -Brian Anderson
