I admit I can hardly wait to see you all back on campus. We have various leadership meeting and planning meetings and tables the first week of school planned but I am concerned about you all driving back this weekend. Weather is going to be nasty! Wondering if we should put off a week our start-up plans so we can get organized. Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until noon EST Saturday. Precipitation type: snow, sleet and freezing rain. Accumulations: 4 to 8 inches. A glaze of ice from freezing rain. Timing: snow and sleet will begin early this evening(Friday). Precipitation may mix with freezing rain this evening before changing to all snow late tonight. The Heaviest Snow is expected between midnight and early Saturday morning. Temperatures: Upper 20s to lower 30s. Impacts: Heavy wet snow is expected, resulting in Snow- covered roads and hazardous travel conditions. Snow will be difficult to shovel and plow. Sunday, Snow again in the afternoon an additional 2-4 inches; Monday snow tapering off ending in the afternoon. Possible addtional 1-2 inches. Now if your math is rusty --- That is 14 possible inches of snow!!!!! Hug!!
