I again wanted to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers for Hope, Ted and I. Her surgery for today had to be rescheduled. Ugh. The emotional rollercoaster continues. She has an anomaly in the cervical section of her spine and a last minute phone call from her pediatrician yesterday had me making numerous calls to her specialists. Her orthopedic said he did not recommend intubating Hope and putting her neck in flexion without an xray and possible MRI. Safety first! But now the worrying continues. Im lucky enough that CHOP will squeeze us in this afternoon for preliminary xrays. On top of that, Hope has a partial loss of hearing in her left ear. We have known that. Well, she failed the school hearing test for all low tones in her left ear. So now we add the otolaryngyologist and audiology to the mix of this crazy month to see if its gotten worse. Can this poor kid just be a kid? It helps that she is such a trooper!
