I almost always stick to the issues and my political and ethical philosophies. This results in my criticism often going to both parties. I sometimes get excoriated by my liberal and progressive friends for what I say, but that has ALWAYS been the price one pays for being true to ones principles, philosophy, and theology. Realistically, I understand that politicians must compromise and make concessions. What most people fail to realize is that we, the people, their constituencies have no such need. In fact, it is our duty and responsibility to remain faithful to our principals, platform, and philiosophy. We must be the light that shows our politicians the way. We must hold their feet to the fire on important issues, because none of the rights and benefits that were granted to the people during the 20th century were given freely through the largess and compassion of government and the elites behind them. All of them were fought for, and many times people even died for those freedoms, rights, and benefits!
