I almost began hating one of my anime idols. Hayao Miyazaki stated that the anime industry is suffering because its full of otaku! I thought he was referring to fans in general, but he meant the staff that makes anime is full of otaku. He says that as a negative thing because he thinks that anime characters today are very fake to him because the creators dont know how real people work and act. You cant make good characters without knowing how people work. I know its sad to say, but most otaku hate being around real people. They see anime chicks and think thats how all anime girls work.(he actually said the cutesy anime girl voice annoys him!) I have to agree with him. You cant make good characters without having well-rounded experiences with real people. Thats why his anime is AMAZING!!! BECAUSE ITS MORE HUMAN THAN ANY ANIME IN EXISTENCE!!! If he really hated his fans, I wouldnt be keeping my beloved Totoro dolls and my little Clicky-head(Kodama).
