I always enjoyed poetry. For me it was a way of taking all the pain, anger, and sadness out of myself. To explain to myself and to be able to look at those ideas that seem like a wind storm and confusing. I know from my own experiences pain in fort hall is something someone has to deal with, its inevitable. When I get some money together I want hold a poem contest and put it in the sho ban news. $100 for first place. But I dont want to know about whats pretty or hopeful. I want to know about the pain inside. The hopelessness inside. The secrets we dont know about these kids who hold it in. It used to kill me to hold my pains inside and writing became my relief. I want them to know someone knows how they feel when they dont believe there is no one to talk to or understand. I want them to be unafraid of letting the world know they hurt. If there uncomfortable with submitting there name then they can just send it to me with there age. Itll be a minute till I can get some money together to do this but its something Ive thought about for years. Ive wrote the sho ban news a couple of times and had them publish my poems or just writings and it felt good to hear people understand. This is just a small plan I have for a greater picture.
