I always get nervous and weird so that its hard to sleep before I start a big project but as soon as I get the brush in my hand and start working its like Oh yeah, this is what I do. I got this! I cant imagine a life where I didnt do what I do. Every day is a new challenge. A new mountain to climb. A problem to solve. Always different. No project is ever the same. Im 34 years old and I know I will never retire. There is no finish line. If I live to be 100 I will have passed before my time. There will always be more to offer. If you have a child that is driven creatively do everything in your power to give them water and light they need to grow as artists. Im so lucky that the wonderful people in my life have always done this for me. They really had no choice if they wanted to see me happy and they all do. Some kids do not have it in them to go with the flow. It will be very trying as a parent but you have to adapt to them. You have to let them know it is OK to be different and that there happiness is the biggest priority in their life and yours. My parents did this for me. Though it has been hard for them beyond my comprehension, I see the pride they get in their eyes when I do what I love and all the trials become small .
