I always seem.to flip.flop back and forth through time. Didnt plan to write a a book! Just thought I would introduce myself to those who dont know me well,,, or at all... Living outside San Juan when I was ten or so..(1962 ish) Going to school in uniform..speaking in Spanish... How strange that was for a country girl from Central Ohio. (My forward thinking mother had prepared us by sending us to a Spanish tutor four months before we moved to Puerto Rico. The other farm wives must have thought her insane!) We lived in a Neat, Tidy, typical three bedroom in Los Angeles, a suburb of San Juan. Ill never forget the tide to Downtown! We went to school in the city. I was NOT a city kid! Once, I saw a real GIANT there. He rode the bus with me one day and I was scared to death of him! He bent in half to get on and his hand (on the seat rail in front of me) was bigger than my book bag! When he got off the bus, people at the bus stop ran away and some ladies screamed. Poor fellow! How sad I felt for him! What must live have been like for him then and there?!
