I always tell my kids... when answering questions. .. 1. READ & UNDERSTAND the INSTRUCTIONS.. 2. read & UNDERSTAND the questions.. 3. answer the questions as PER instructed... 4. answer THE question .. 5. for Maths questions -- equation is MORE important than answer so please write your equation in an illegible manner.. exams week mah these days... today I walked in to meet my sons class teacher .... just keeping track of his progress.. u know... I chance walked into the said teacher discussing among 2 other teachers.. basically.. 1.. if the answer is correct but equation is wrong.. how do u mark?? 2.. if the equation is correct but answer is wrong -- how do u mark again?? 3.. if the equation is correct.. answer is correct but the kids did not answer as per INSTRUCTED.. -- how do u mark?? ... the 3 teachers hv their own opinion on how the marking shld be.. basically .. for no. 1 & 2 .. each entitled part of marks.. no. 3 .. the teachers hv different opinions. .. 2 out of 3 teachers think if answer & equation r correct -- full marks shld be granted.. BUT my sons teacher DISAGREE... following instruction is important... [Mind u.. she hasnt notice I was standing behind her while she & the 2 teachers discussing to & fro about the markings..] when she turned around & found me stood waiting for her.. she said nicely.. your son minding his own things again in class... not listening to instructions during exams... he could hv gotten 100% but he didnt listen to instruction so I am not going him the points even though he knows how to do them & his answer r correct. Oh.. ok. oh... he oso conteng exams paper & text books... he started drawing after he finishes his papers! Oh OK.. I let him know next time TRY not to draw .. anything else?? He is otherwise ok? Yes thank you teacher off I go... ----- outside I met with my Limping Dinosaur. . baby.. I heard u ALMOST gotten 100% ... now u dont... how do u feel huh? [looking guilty] yah.. I learnt my lesson... next time I TRY to remember to listen ok ... o well.. -- 07052014 fair warning I suppose..
