I always thought that Family was something to be ashamed of, to be able to walk away from, to cut yourself off from, to not have to talk about. I have had to really rethink that in the last few years. Leela Cosgrove showed me that Family were people who were there for you no matter what, who you could love, and hate, but youd never really be able to walk away from. That loyalty and doing for them, was always the right way, no matter how much it hurts at the time, it is always worth it, and to never ever ever give up. She taught me to be vulnerable and open up and forgive. Helen Epskamp showed me that there were people whove been cut off from you who still love you and want you around, even though you cant understand why. Miriam Epskamp showed me that even when you were in the depths of despair and your darkest hour, that there was someone there watching who cared and who noticed how bad you were hurting. Jenna Cosgrove showed me what it is to be generous and kind in deed, and show people through doing good things for them, not just in words but creating experiences that make life special. Gail Cosgrove showed me what it is to have love for someone and be there for them like your own child even though youre not their blood. Sarah DarknStormy Peters showed me what it is to be a strong Woman who raises an incredible child into a young man against all odds. Fiona Webb showed me what it is to overcome insurmountable obstacles to do right by her children no matter what the price. Michelle Mackay showed me what it is to have the love and strength to be a real friend whos always ready to step up, whos always looking to learn more, be more, and do more for her family, who takes responsibility and gets the job done. Thank you for all of my Family, of blood, of choice, thank you all. I am grateful for all of you, your bravery, your awesomeness, you make me want to be a better person. I honor and appreciate you all.
