I always wanted to cook my favorit Bengali dishes, I am happy I did manage to prepare some with the help of Swapnadi. I kept all the ingredients ready like an able apprentice. She came, plucked the right leaves and flowers from the ‘Kumro’ plant, cut the vegetables in suitable sizes and the mixer swirled in high speed to present the finest ‘laal Shorshe paste’ ( red mustard sauce). I noted that she included some grated coconut and three/ four green chilies before grinding. Many more processes and many more exalting moments….. Her mother and my grandmother were close friends in Jamshedpur…. it is of course another story how I got to know her……..
