I am 44. When I was 22, I moved to the West Coast from NC without any furniture or a car, or anything other than a few CDs and books. I did it without any financial support from my family. In fact, I didnt see or talk to anyone from my past for five years after I was out here. I started over completely. I have been debating with a few younger guys about their viewpoints on life. They seem quite arrogant for not having accomplished very much. I moved out of my house as a teen (17), and was employed beginning at age 12. I was in college at night as I went to high school, AND working full-time for a period between 16 and 18. I quit school and got my GED before my classmates graduated, all the while attending college as I worked. Also, I was first published at 11, and had a band for five years, beginning at the age of 17 as I recall. Once I was out here, I found a job, and worked into a very high position at a major multinational company, all before I was 32. We began filming three movies in 2005 (completing two, and finishing the third now): I was 35. I was beginning to write more seriously again by the age of 36, in 2006. I had traveled all over Europe and the US by then, also. Why are these cats so arrogant? What have they really done? I dont get it.
