I am 48... I have lived through the years of wanting my MTV, having to get up to change the channel, phone numbers that started with letters, the first man on the moon, the first (ridiculously large) cell phones, learning how to access and use the internet highway, several wars and much political unrest... I have felt the pain of being unable to carry 3 babies to term... And was blessed to successfully carry and give birth to another three beautiful amazing human beings... I experienced holding my fathers hand as he took his last breath and the struggle to regain my own thereafter... I have stood on the precipice of death and been given a second chance... I am 48... I still yearn, I still want, I still hunger and crave, I still search, I still feel lost sometimes... The vessel that carries me is not as sturdy as it once was...but I still feel new... I can still feel the sun on my face, the breeze ruffle my hair, smell the salt in the sea, feel hugs and cuddles, hear laughter and I love yous... I am no longer 18, 28, or 38... I am 48... and thats okay with me ... I had a bit of fun posting my many happy birthday to me messages today as I am sure most of you reading this noticed. I guess I should have added to the above that I still amuse myself...on a daily basis...and that of course, I am still and forever will be FABULOUS!!! Thank you one and all for all of your well wishes and for coming along for the ride today!! MUCH LOVE!!!! XOXO!!!!
