I am NEVER leaving SA EVER again...Bilharzia found in Africa, Middle East, India, South East Asia, Mauritius, South America...have been sick with all the symptoms since 2009...and was told it can reoccur so got to be tested again... Carl has travelled everywhere except India and I have been to the others except South America!!!...He just laughed because he has been so sick with Bilharzia as well..Took his treatment last night and was pretty ill:( Both of us have had the symptoms. Told him SCREW that I am STAYING put RIGHT here in SA!!!!! he is laughing his head off....I will do my adventuring here in good old SA thank you very much! Advice to anyone who has not been feeling well and has lived in these areas.. abdominal pains,fever, rashes, nausea,weight loss, loss of appetite, headaches, non-productive cough, bladder infections - go get tested!!!!!
