I am SO sad over the news of the death of the great comedian John Pinette in his Pittsburgh hotel room this afternoon.......Hed gotten sober in August and was doing all the right things, but his heart and liver damage was too advanced, apparently. God bless him and rest his soul....he is one of the most genuinely funny stand-ups I ever saw--we worked the Comedy stores at the Dunes Hotel in Las Vegas, the Comedy Store Main Room and the Comedy Store in La Jolla a million times. This cat was FUNNY! he was easily the most likeable guy I ever met in show business, as good an audience for you as a performer, from the moment you said hi to him. This is a huge loss, and everyone in the business loved the guy. RIP Funny Man, the Main Room Upstairs just got a hot new headliner. We love you John!
