I am a 3rd generation Texan. Not sure before that. I love Texas and the pride we used to have of being one! My grandfather moved to Colorado after he retired. My dear sweet grandmother (many years ago when I was young) asked me to bring her a Texas Tech sticker (I lived at Lubbock). I could not imagine why as she had no affiliation to the school. I took her the sticker and before I left to come home, I noticed their car. She had cut off the TECH and had proudly displayed...TEXAS...in the back window. She always told every one SHE was from Texas, not Colorado. Bless her, she always wanted to come home to Texas. Which finally she did. They are both buried at Lamesa, Texas.
