I am a Christian. I am proud of it. I share my beliefs with others who ask but I don’t force them on anyone. I’m not afraid to ask questions or challenge someone else’s interpretation of something that may differ from my own interpretation. I also don’t believe that everyone who calls them self a Christian speaks for me anymore than these murderers in Paris speak for every Muslim. And when I hear people who claim to be Christian label all Muslims as “evil” based on the actions of these terrorists, I’m reminded of Christianity a few hundred years ago. I wonder how some of these so-called Christians would react if the technology of today (24-hour news, Facebook, Twitter, etc.) were around a few centuries ago and we could witness (in real time) those calling themselves Christians committing atrocities in Christianity’s name? Forcing people to convert to your faith or die? Using your religion to justify murder? Killing those who dont share your views? Hmm… #SpanishInquisition #SalemWitchTrials #TheCrusades The problem isn’t Islam in itself, the problem is organized religion and following something blindly without the courage to question it
