I am a boy of about 6½ of age, but I feel so much older right now. I am a Thai street dog, which means I’ve never had an owner or a home to call my own. I’ve never experienced what it feels like to be shown love by a human. My name is Korbin and I am all alone. I was brought to the Soi Dog shelter from my territory by a nearby gas station. I was very weak and I had a tumour on one of my back legs. When the vets examined me, they saw that I had lost some of my fur in places and that I was suffering from a fungal skin infection and mange. They did something called an x-ray and that showed them that I had an old hip fracture. I can’t walk normally and this is probably why. My eye sight is bad and I am scared. The people here talk to me and tell me that I will now get the help I’ve needed and that it is because of a group called the Emergency Response Team. These Soi Dog supporters are people just like you, and their donations are what saved me and got me to the shelter. There are many more suffering street dogs out there.
