I am a mother. A workaholic. A student. A friend. A sister, And a daughter. If have learned anything over the past few months. I love my family. The most important thing I have learned is that our children are not ours, they dont belong to us they are not our future they should not be considered the extension of us to carry on our beliefs or traditions. Its great if they can. I believe they remember what they are taught but more than anything they remember how we love them. The hardest thing to do in life is let them go. Let them find their way, let them make mistakes, let them love and experience LIFE. THEY ONLY HAVE ONE. It is not ours to control, it is ours to be a part of and love them. Lift them up tell them how wonderful they are even when they disappoint us. If you have not hugged your child today please do. Tell them how proud you are, when they forget to do what you tell them to or when they let you down. They will never forget that unconditional love!!!!!
