I am a project manager at heart. I love projects. I think that it comes from my love for puzzles. When I was a kid, I loved puzzles! Choosing the picture on the box. Then find the surrounding pieces and create the frame. Next, group the pieces by colour or by topic...there is a yellow flower, here, the blue sky, the mountains, etc. You get organized and structured while creating the picture, piece by piece. AND when the puzzle is finished, you exhibit it for awhile for your family. MOM, DAD, look at the results of all my efforts! You are so PROUD of your achievement! Project management is the same. You have a project and you want to see its concrete realisation. You frame your project. You identify all the different pieces and you try to put everything together! I know that there are specific steps in a project and this sounds simplistic ....BUT IS IT? Think about it! .... AND the beauty is that as I was passionate when doing a puzzle, I am as passionate, and maybe more, when I work on a project! My current project is to ensure that I can spend more time with my family. When I started thinking through this project, I realized that I was spending 11 hours per day working and commuting..... AND the worst, I was not happy in my job. My project is taking form each day and Im getting closer and closer to its finality. I am already thinking about the next project. In fact, my head is full of projects .... AND dont tell me Im too old! As long as I have dreams and projects, Im YOUNG! AND I INTEND TO STAY YOUNG FOR AWHILE!
