I am a small business owner and have been for 18 years, a few years back individual ins. at my age in my 50s became so expensive it just priced me out of the market, and I could no longer afford ins. If anyone can imagine the fear and worry I lived with everyday knowing that if I became really sick I would lose everything that I have worked for all my life, and then understand how blessed I feel now to have insurance thanks to ACA, and how grateful I am that we finally had a President and congress that would actually pass legislation that helps very hardworking average Americans, then they would be ashamed to support GOP representatives that continue to vote to repeal it. My stepdaughter works in the healthcare industry and has been to school twice to increase her qualifications to earn more pay, but still could not afford ins., and now she also has insurance thanks to ACA. This is the first bill passed that is a significant benefit in the form of well earned tax credit for average hard WORKING Americans passed in many years. The republicans should be ashamed and anyone that supports tax credits for high income corporations and will not support tax credits for average hardworking Americans just really need to reconsider and consider standing up for all fellow Americans instead of just supporting a few in the highest income brackets that BTW make their wealth from all average income Americans. I dont work so many hours anymore, because I am not able to handle it like I used to, and I have excellent people that can manage without me a lot of the time, which they are paid to do. But for several years worked very long hours with no vacations, no days off to get the biz off the ground and making a profit, and before starting the biz worked in a factory for 15 yrs., had planned to work there until retirement, but that went out the window when the plant relocated to Mexico. There were no jobs available that paid a decent wage, so used a big chunk of life savings and took a risk starting the biz . Everybody has their own story, this is mine. This is why I cant stand for people to bash our President or the democrats in congress of which many put their jobs on the line knowing they would not be re-elected because too many were falling for GOP lies about Obamacare, but they voted FOR US, for the people anyway, for average hard working Americans to get something passed that would not be thrown out by the Supreme Court that would get healthcare to millions, and it is working. Many of you already know my story , I have told it before to some extent more or less , but something came up tonight that motivated me to speak out again.
