I am a woodworking hobbyist and recently made this entry way shelf/coat rack. I have seen them for sale for anywhere from $50 to $150. I think anything above $100 is a little ridiculous and the $50 one I saw was very poor quality. I made this one from 3/4 inch pine and glued and screwed it together so it is very strong and can hold a lot of weight. It is about 2 feet wide, 15 inches tall and 8 inches deep which is larger than most I have seen for sale. The cost for the wood, screws and hooks for this one were around $35 to $40. I am just curious to see if it would be worth my time to make more of these to sell. I dont have much free time as it is but if I can make a decent profit I would try and make time. Also I can make them to specific dimensions if you dont like the size. There are different style hooks as well and of course they can be a different color or wood stain. I also think some small hooks on the side to hang keys would be a cool feature. Id appreciate any feedback you can give me and also what you think a fair price would be. Obviously the price would vary depending on size, number of hooks and paint/stain. Id be willing to sell them unfinished for less so you can add your own hooks and paint/stain. Thanks everyone and have a great week!
