I am about sick of the ALS Ice challenge.....ALS stole the idea from cancer patients!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It started for a cancer patient early this spring as part of the Polar Bear Plunge for someone who couldnt jump into the cold lake but wanted to show support so they put the lake in a bucket!!!!... The ice challenge idea has been around awhile in the sports dorms and practice fields..This Ice challenge this year was being used as a Name Your Own Charity type thing for awareness for all types of diseases and gave the opportunity to many patients to challenge their friends and family to donate... WELL, then ALS went and branded it after one guy that raised a lot of funds on his own for ALS and actually got them some publicity from it. Instead of letting it stay a Name Your Own Charity for donations ALS was so greedy they took the idea, promoted it enough to get the name on it and now they are raking in the donations to the tune of over $50 mil extra this year.. Just wanted My Friends and Family to know the truth...Look it up!!! ALS is a terrible disease, I would never take away from one charity to give to another but this is Exactly what ALS did when they Hi-Jacked a perfectly innocent and successful grass roots campaign to help ALL people in need Like I Said....Research it and see where the Money trail goes!!!!
