I am about to save you a TON of money on fancy makeup brush cleaners like MAC and some other high and medium level cleaners. Yes, I still have several boxes of my MAC brush cleaner as I tend to stock 3 of everything that I use for cleaning and such.. BUT-- I have tried many alternatives that clean deeply, thoroughly, leaving not dirt or residue but also have some natural disinfecting properties as well. I have finally, after much personal spending, and using found something that will last you FOREVER, and you will not spend a fortune on the latest "gimmick" for selling brush cleaner.. You know the ones that now are hot are the little soaps in a tin with like a Loofa type side to them to use as a rough deep cleaning texture, and the ones like the Sigma Cleaning Mitt which was always a huge laugh for me.. The best cleaner that I have found has actually been around for years.. Used for everything from face, body, and mild other cleaning around the house. Because it is natural and has dirt cutting ingredients like citrus to break dirt and oil away and not using chemicals, this is totally awesome for Makeup Brushes. You only need to put literally 5 drops, yes DROPS of this concentrated stuff in a shallow dish ( I use a bowl that you use for hair color with the ridges for easy use and the texture to work shampoo into) but you can use what you like, and simply dip the brush into it, use your fingers to work it in and shampoo the bristles, rinse and repeat until clean. You will feel a new type of clean that I have not gotten from any other cleaner.. It removes everything!! Then I spray on Beauty So Clean Brush Cleanse and Conditioner, a spritz of the Chocolate scented Beauty So clean that I bought over Valentines day as I like the smell, and I have another way to duplicate that too for very cheap as well, so will post that in a minute too, then off to dry.. So, the magic cleaner that you can go buy at right on Amazon or maybe even Walmart is coming up.. Posting pictures now... stay tuned.
