I am absolutely certain that, in my old age, I will not be able to recollect much of what I learned as an undergrad. However, there is one truth that will surely shape the rest of my life. It is simple; creativity is only a gift when it is accompanied by bravery because it is bravery that makes way for our dreams to become reality. Creativity, without bravery, is a curse that makes a youthful soul old, self-righteous, and bitter. Imagine the degeneration that would come from having the ability to dream of something better than what is, and yet, remain idle due to a lack of courage. I have witnessed this most clearly in the prodigal life of my grandfather who chased everything his mind created; yet kept his spirit balanced and content with a thick and immense gratitude for what his life was.
