I am active duty Navy and I received orders to Jacksonville from an overseas isolated location. I needed a realtor to help me find and buy my first home. I was just looking for an honest straight forward person who would answer their phone, be where they said they would be. Someone to be on my side, to help me buy a home, and not push me over my budget; my dad said it could not be done. Realtors work for the seller unless you pay them up front. After me firing eight real-estate agents I found one who was a US Marine. Aargh! After about 10 minutes talking to him I felt relieved, finally someone to listen who understands us and will help. He took action and made sure I got the home I wanted. I really do appreciate our veterans out there supporting us every day looking out for us. I don’t believe in paying for incompetence and neither should you. If it was not for my Husband helping me with the house hunting process, I wouldn’t have bought my first home. I looked at him and said, “Honey you need to be a realtor here.” My husband already had all the qualities I wanted in a realtor. He is a great listener; he is always available and helpful. People in general like him and, I know that is because he is honest and sincere. You will only have to give him the opportunity to impress you. Since then he has hit the ground running. My husband is not your average Realtor he was out showing houses on New Years Day, and he closed on a house on this Christmas Eve.
