I am all for getting a good shot. I will drive long distances over again. I will sit in zero temperatures. I am ethical though. I never put getting the shot over the welfare of the subject. If the animal is stressed and/or changing their normal behavior, you are too close. If you are baiting them, you are going about this the wrong way. If you are representing a captive animal as wild, you are not a good ambassador. The general public are always displaying careless behavior. Please, speak up. If another photographer with a big lens is acting recklessly, please speak up. If we dont, who will? I heard a story about reckless behavior this morning that is very upsetting.
