I am already so tired of hearing about Ray Rice. The issue of his lightweight punishment started in the courts not the NFL. The courts dropped it from a felony assault charge & gave him a diversionary program. The NFL followed suit with the information provided by law enforcement. The prosecution are the ones that investigated the incident. They are the ones that dropped the ball, in my opinion. Where are they & why arent they being questioned? NOW...Lets stop making this an issue with domestic violence and just address VIOLENCE period. It isnt just an issue with battering women, it is an issue with battery! Stop the violence period. There needs to be ZERO tolerance for any and all violence & unlawful behavior. That is what the NFL needs to address & be held accountable. These athletes should be held to a higher standard than most. They are public figures. They are getting paid outrageous salaries because they are exceptional athletes entertaining the public. Like it or not, they are role models. They know they are public figures & live their lives in the public. If you are a public figure, you do something asinine in public, be prepared that it will be public! It is no longer a private matter! Again, stop making this all about violence against women & address violence, period. Thats all.
