I am an activist. Because activism is standing up for principles and ideals that i believe in. Activism is not about posturing, grandstanding, drama and theatrics. Its not about medals and TV shows. Activism is both process, content and substance. Been Anti Government does not make you an Activist. And neither does been Pro Government not make you an activist. An activist playground is the battle of ideas. Shaping discourse. Proffering options and alternatives. Not just empty critic and rhetoric. Che Guevara T Shirts and Hugo Chavez Red Shirts dont make you an Activist overnight. You learn, relearn, plan and counterplan. Like Ceasars wife, beyond reproach. Am proud to be an Activist but i got no time for those dragging the good Activist credentials down the drain under the guise that their Anti Government rhetoric is Progressive Activism. Enough of all this shenanigans.
