I am applying the procedures of the excellent tutorial Rigging Revealed simultaneously to my own model. In chapter 5 I have to create a childbone to the pelvisbone and name it Hip. Then I have to parent the hierarchy of the rearleg to this newly created Hipbone but when I do so, the whole rearleg hierarchy jumps to another point and orientation, unlike in the video of Lino Grandi. In my opinion I did everything like instructed: rested bones, recorded pivot rotation to 0,0,0 and activated bones. The only difference I can imagine is that I am using LightWave 11.6.3 and in the video Lino uses LightWave 10. Any ideas or hints what I may be doing wrong or have forgotten?
